First Days in the Sunshine State

It’s already our third day in Florida, which is going far too quickly for my liking. I don’t even want to think about how quickly our last day will come!

On our first day we were shown around the area by car and then stopped for a light lunch at The Dock at Crayton Cove. There’s a laid back feel to the place with a great atmosphere overlooking Naples Bay where you can watch the boats approaching the harbour.

I chose the crab and prawn salad, which was perfect for a hot humid day.

I haven’t ever seen a pineapple growing like this one so I got quite excited when I spotted it…

… and the same goes for the bananas!

After lunch we spent our time browsing art galleries and the little shops before catching the water shuttle across the bay.

This little cute guy welcomed us into his art gallery but spent most of the time sitting on his couch!

We took the water shuttle around the bay but instead of getting off at the other side we did a loop just to explore.

That evening we went to Cafe Luna for dinner on Fifth Avenue.

Yesterday we had a very lazy day sunbathing by the pool and food shopping in Whole Foods (I’m obsessed with that place!) We later went back to Fifth Avenue for dinner at Thai Sushi Too where I stuffed my face with the freshest sushi. It makes me hungry just looking at it again!

I am absolutely totally 100% in love with my new Kurt Geiger shoes! I got them on the outlet website at a ridiculously discounted price but I’m afraid they’ve sold out but I found a pair in a similar style here so definitely check it out.

These are my grandparents, Ian and Terrina. I love them to bits! It’s so lovely seeing them out here having such an amazing time, I swear they look 10 years younger than they did before.
